PLEASE READ MY POLICIES HERE BEFORE YOU ORDER FROM ME
By ordering from this site you argee to all the stated policies.
These are classified by grade. I charge for the whole stone, regardless of whether it is all color or surrounded by clear (all colored stones have a clear halo). You'll find that others on the web are charging 4 - 20 times what I am for the same thing. Visit them if you like, then come back here. I'll select the best of what I have available for you. ALL THESE STONES ARE FROM THE DUST DEVIL MINE. GO DIG AT THE DUST DEVIL NOW! They are good people! Here are some tips for orienting & cutting sunstones from the Dust Devil folks. The order form is linked at the bottom of this page.
Good for tumbling and practice faceting. You can get 1+ carat stones from many of these. Size ranges from a carat to over 5 grams.
Below is one of my nice clear stones (actually it's very faint pink) faceted by Bill Mitzell of the Mt. Hood Rock Club LKMYRKS@cs.com.
These will cut you some beautiful stones. NOTE: I do not cobb stones; these may or may not yield 10 carat faceted stones! Compare to WHOLESALE prices 4 times this.
These will cut you some exceptional stones, and are suitable for carving.

Some part to most of the stone shows a shimmering copper effect. These will cut you some beautiful shimmering stones. Make the cuts simple, non-brilliant or brilliant. Orient the schiller parallel to the table for a brilliant effect.
These will cut you some beautiful shimmering stones. Make the cuts simple, non-brilliant. Orient the schiller parallel to the table for a brilliant effect. Orient it perpendicular for a subtle shimmer. Below is one of my intense schillers (this one is a "snowflake" schiller) stones faceted by Bill Mitzell of the Mt. Hood Rock Club LKMYRKS@cs.com.
These will cut you some beautiful shimmering stones. Make the cuts simple, non-brilliant. Orient the schiller parallel to the table for a brilliant effect. Orient it perpendicular for a subtle shimmer. These also make great carving stones! Sorry the schiller doesn't show up so great in the pic; it's very very hard to get it to show on a scanner & I don't have a macro lens for my cheap digital camera :(

I have lots of stones that show a pale peach to light pink hue (pic below). Some have fairly intense schiller as well. Some are color "dots"; some have the pale color in a larger area. These will cut you some delicate hued stones with a peach to pink hue. Orient the color in the stone to flood the stone with color.

Can't afford brilliant red or watermelon stones? These will cut you some beautiful small colored stones to a carat or possibly larger. Orient the color dot in the bottom of the stone to flood the stone with red or copper. I have a very few watermelon and green dots available for $2.00/carat.
Below are a few of my red dot stones faceted by Bill Mitzell of the Mt. Hood Rock Club LKMYRKS@cs.com.
These will cut you some beautiful larger colored stones from a carat on up. Orient the color in the bottom of the stone to flood the stone with red or red schiller. The stones on the left are clear reds; those on the right are red schillers. Note that ALL colored stones from the Dust Devil contain some schiller; it is a distraction in the brilliant reds so most cutters orient the stone to cancel out the schiller. Visit the Dust Devil Mine's site to find out methods of cancelling the schiller in your faceted stones!

Below on the left are a few of my reds faceted by Bill Mitzel of the Mt. Hood Rock Club LKMYRKS@cs.com. The big stone is a 9.14 carat red schiller checkerboard pineapple.
Watermelons are red surrounded by a halo of green in the center. These will cut you some beautiful larger colored stones from a carat on up. Leave a border of clear around the rind to give the stone a beautiful red/green effect.

A 2 carat dichroic watermelon worth about $1,600...
and a 48.3 carat watermelon carving from a 110 carat stone. Valued at
$4,830!

Here it is! Wish me luck :)

More examples of faceted stones. From left to right: Red dot
oval, red/green bar cut, intense schiller square cushion, schiller oval
and round brilliant pairs.
