Holley Blue Agate for sale PAGE 2

HOLLEY BLUE AGATE!

PAGE 2

I have sold all the Holley rough that I have, but you can find the occasional finished pieces on these pages.

It's taken a long time but I'm finally weeding out my Holley Blue to just the pieces I am going to die with! Holley is a little hamlet in Oregon where this totally unique agate grows. Most of it is recognizable by its unique color and/or form, and the vast majority of what you see called Holley on the internet is comon blue agate or someone decided that adding "Holley" to the name would make it seem more valuable! We used to collect the agate there until the mid-90s when the landowner shut it down because stupid, greedy people turned the location into a disaster area. Many of these are unique and you simply aren't going to find for sale anywhere else. They include tumble polished and raw pieces, cabochon rough, small to large specimen pieces, etc. We collected all of these at the site, so I know exactly what they are (I have never bought a piece in my life!) It isn't cheap because of its rarity and beauty. Typical internet prices you will see are upwards of $1.00/gram for high end rough. I've seen it priced at rock shows for $1.00/carat! PLEASE NOTE: WHAT I WILL BE LISTING IS ALL THE HOLLEY BLUE I HAVE! ONCE IT'S GONE IT'S GONE!
All pieces will be sent Parcel Post mail (a few bucks - $9.50) or flat rate priority mail ($9.55 - $20.95), depending on weight, whichever is less unless you specify the shipping method.

I also accept money orders and cashier's checks in the mail. I accept cash, debit & credit card payments if you pick up your rocks here (Oregon City)!
Click on the cart next to the price to purchase a rock specimen via Paypal.
I accept electronic payments or credit cards via PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, would like to set up an account, or would like to use their one-time transfer feature without signing up for an account, please feel free to try the shopping cart by clicking the cart button next to each item. I will bill S&H charges to your PayPal account once I have your order ready to ship. You MUST unblock cookies and popups for the PayPal site to work!
I'll be adding more as time allows, so check back often :)
Shipping charges will be billed later
If you've recently visited this page, be aware that your browser may have cached the images and although all browsers are supposed to catch new images and reload them, sometimes they don't. So hit the refresh button below just in case to make sure you have the latest pics.
There's a simple fix for Firefox:
Type "about:config" in the website address box. This should load the Firefox config settings in the window for editing. You may see a warning message stating, "This might void your warranty!" (which is an in-joke, they don't have one), click on it to load the settings. Then search for the "browser.cache.check_doc_frequency" key and change it to "1".
For those of you who are looking for something specific in my for sale pages, such as when I list new items, I might have a solution for you. You may want to try this: https://www.changedetection.com, I think all you do is sign up and enter the address of the page, for example if you are looking for equipment enter http://orerockon.com/equipment_for_sale.html, and they should send you an email when I add something. BUT, it probably will send you a notice when I change one letter of one sentence on the page, so you might get annoyed by it at some point. It's a great way to track when I list new polished items, since I typically don't change anything until something sells and/or I add items, and equipment, which I never change unless I add new pieces or change the status to "sold" as they sell.

SOLD means just what it says. Please do not click on the Cart button if it says SOLD

All weights are in grams and all photos are NOT examples but what you will actually receive. I am selling some of them by the lot, generally at 40 cents/gram, not the individual piece. Pleas don't ask for me to separate out a lot, I simply won't do it. The colors and saturation are as close as I can get them to reality. Click on the number of the pic to see the large photo. If you can get one cabochon out of the unpolished lots you've at least tripled your money :) All of these are more or less a random draw from a ziplock bag. I pick until I get around 100 grams. Homey ain't got time to sort rocks!

Unpolished rough pieces 10 - <25 grams

(shown wet)

Exactly 102 grams of medium size unpolished rough pieces. Some of these will cut a cabochon. Some have a white to gray layer on the outside. The best way to remove it is to tumble them in rough grit for a day (less with a vibratory tumbler) with something else small enough to get into the pitted areas (I use pyramid shaped ceramic tumbler media but plastic pellets work too). Or throw them in with a batch of rocks of similar hardness (like agate or jasper) and tumbler media. Take them out after they look good or they may disappear! The photo shown dry is here.
